IHome IP90
The Ihome IP90 is a product perfect for anyone wanting to intergrate their Iphone or Ipod to an alarm clock. Present in the market since 2010, it represents one of the best solutions for listening to music present in the playlists of Apple devices as well as online radios thanks to the Ihome application. The latter can be found in the App store.
It also allows to plug other devices, such as a compuer or a cd player throught the line in plug that is at the back.
The user can be waken up to music coming from the Ipod or Iphone as well as from AM/Fm radio. The IP90 has also 12 radio presets to choose from. These can be easily toggled with a button in the upper part of it.
The big LED screen allow to see the time even at distance and it can be syncronized with the time of the Ipod/Iphone, again pushing a button. This allow to have always the time perfectly syncronized and not having to adjust it if it’s slightly ahead or behind compared to the time we have set on the Iphone or Ipod.
One of the best features of the IP90 is the possibility to set different waking up times depending on the day of the week. If, for instance, on Saturdays and Sundays someone wants to wake up later compared to the other days of the week, this is easily possible to set in just minutes. So no more changing of the time every week or even worse no more alarm playing on Saturday morning at a time in which it’s not supposed to.
The snooze time is also settable between 1 and 29 minutes. So depending on how many minutes we need after the alarm plays we can set it and relax for few more minutes. Another feature that makes the waking up smoothier is the possibility to gently increase the volume of the alarm. No more loud sudden alarms!
Any combination of alarms among the ones present (Iphone/Ipod, FM/AM radio and buzzer) can be set to the user preferences. This feature is called the 7.5.2 Dual Alarm.
The sound is delivered through a pair of speakers that deliver great quality. Furthermore, the equalization can be tweaked to our tastes. Bass and trebles can be increased or decreased. Not only this, the IP90 eq section allows to use the 3D feature and adjust the balance of the sound. This adds to the eq settings already present in Ipods and Iphones. However, this way the user doesn’t have to change costantly the eq in the player depending on the type of speaker or headphones used. The favourite for headphones or earplugs can be set in the Ipod/Iphone and then everytime it’s plugges into the Ihome Ip90 the eq can be set on the latter.
A remote control is present and can be used to control the IP90 at distance. This is very handy and avoids having to have it always close to make control Ipod functions or turn it off, to control volume, eq, radio and alarm.
The Ihome IP90 is primarly a very technological alarm clock. However, it can be used also to make the user fall asleep with the tunes he or she prefers. For this there’s an adjustable sleep times with separate volume.
As i mentioned earlier, Ihome made some apps that are fantastic for anyone owning an Ihome product.
The first one is called Ihome+Sleep. There are many features from this app, however the most important ones are:

The second one is called IHome+Radio and it gives the possibility to listen to tens of thousands Internet Radios and integrate them in the IHome+sleep app.
These two apps are a great plus for anyone owning a IP90. Just think about how it would be great to listen to all those radios and use them as alarm, instead of having always the same annoying buzzer.
To complete the description, i must mention the fact that the Ihome IP90 is equipped with batteries that in case of power failure make sure that the product doesn’t lose the time and the setting for the alarm and other functions, such as the equalization.
